"For a sweater of this price I would expect a decent zipper. The same sweater from 4 years ago has a nice metal zipper, now it's small cheap plastic that gets stuck."

Nothing is ever the same

"I have purchased this hoodie (in many different colors) 7-8 times since 2021. Every year the quality goes down. Now the zippers feel like they belong on doll clothes. At the discounted price it is still worth it. I will never buy one at full price. The fabric is thinner, the stitching is less tight and as I said the zippers are just waiting to break."

It may as well be cotton.

"I bought one of these in 2021 when I moved to Tasmania and wore it almost every day since. Loved it. When the thumb-holes began to wear away I didn't hesitate in buying the same again. Except it turns out you can't buy the same again. The design is the same, but the ""merino"" fabric on the new hoodie is noticeably thinner than on the old one that's been through many wash cycles. I got so chilly wearing this I'm now wearing the old one underneath it. I'm sure somewhere in icebreaker there's some marketing monkey who got a promotion cutting costs on the ""wool"" that went into this travesty. Congratulations, genius, I'm never buying icebreaker again."

"I've been wearing these for a lot of years. Im about to buy my fourth one. As I write this, I am still wearing the same one I bought originally 10 yrs ago or so and have the others in my rotation still as well. Yes, they are worn, frayed, torn at the elbows, ripped at the wrists but it is still 100% my FAVORITE thing to put on. Length of sleeves:perfect. Hood: Perfect fit. Waist length and size: perfect. Feel: perfect. Fit at shoulders and biceps: perfect. Comfortable as AIR. I am 6'3"" 200# slim long athletic build and wear an XL"
