"The 200 weight Oasis shirt is thick enough that the mosquitoes can’t bite through the fabric. The fabric keeps me warm enough and I don’t sweat. When the colder weather arrives in late October, I will wear this shirt under a Pendleton [wool] sweater to stay toasty warm. This 200 weight is perfect for year round comfort."

"Absolutely love it! The best base layer by far. Used the previous iteration bought about 8-9 years ago for hiking, skiing, flyfishing in cold climates - northern Canada in October. "The reason I like the 200 weight merino wool is because the mosquitoes can’t bite through the fabric. I walk my dog 4 or 5 nights a week at Lake Marie (elevation 10,500 feet) in the Snowy Range in Wyoming. The temperature is usually about 60 degrees F. There are thousands of mosquitoes around the lake trail, but I don’t get bit because of the thickness of the wool fabric."
