Quality has Deteriorated

"I was very disappointed in this hoodie. I owned one previously, and lost it unfortunately. I was hoping to replace it, but the new version of this hoodie is so thin you could see through it when you held it up. Also very itchy! The wool has completely changed. I am allergic to most wools but Icebreaker wool always worked on me, but no anymore! So sad to see such a high end product reduce itself to Made in China bad quality."

the quality has sadly declined a lot

"This my second Quantum Jacket. The first one was of amazing quality and I was waring it most days during the cooler seasons for several years. Sadly with this one, the quality has declined massively. The fabric is no longer as fine and soft, it is much thinner, the cuff at the bottom is now only single instead of double. The quality of the zip has declined as well. I also noticed a decline in your merino leggings, which I have therefore not bought. If you keep producing clothes at this low quality, Icebreaker will no longer be known as a superior brand but as an overpriced, poor quality brand. It is such a shame. There are enough of them out there already. So please, bring back the old superior quality Icebreaker merino products, otherwise I will no longer be buying them and actively advise other people to buy from other superior quality companies instead."

"Das ist meine 5. Quantum in meinem Leben und im Vergleich muss ich sagen: die Qualität hat leider sehr nachgelassen. Mit dem 50% Rabatt behalte sie, aber nochmal kaufe ich sie nicht. Das Modell ist stark gewinnoptimiert worden: Der Stoff ist nicht mehr so fein und weich, das Bündchen unten nur noch einfach statt doppelt, Reisverschlusselemente sind fibsig und aus Plastik statt wie früher aus Metall und in beide Richtungen, die Ärmelbündchen haben keine Handwärmer mehr. Hätte ich die Jacke nicht hier gekauft, würde ich vermuten, dass es sich um eine billige Fälschung handelt. So schade. Meine alte Quantum-Jacke war lange mein Lieblingskleidungsstück, die mich überall begleitet hat."

"Ich habe seit vielen Jahren einen Quantum 260 Hoodie und war immer super zufrieden mit ihm. Nun war es Zeit für einen neuen - leider bin ich sehr enttäuscht. Die Qualität hat stark abgenommen. Der Reißverschluss ist von schlechter Qualität und auch kein 2-Wege Reißverschluss mehr. Der Stoff war früher um unteren Bündchen sowie an den Rändern am Reißverschluss zweilagig, was sich sehr angenehm anfühlte und den Hoodie auch strapazierfähiger machte. Nun ist der Stoff nur noch einlagig. Überm Po hängt die Jacke jetzt weit und sackartig, bei meiner alten schmiegte sie sich an. Der Hoodie geht zurück - gerne würde ich nochmal ein altes Modell kaufen!"

Loving the pure wool hoodie

"Thank you for not adding "other" stuff to this! I got the Bittersweet colour and its a super dark rich brown like the website shows, I wore it for 3 days straight (including sleeping) on a recent cold/windy camping trip and and I didnt think about it at which means I like it alot. Only frustration is the amount of garbage it comes packaged in and the excessive amount of tags that are also garbage. Please use your own slogan and "move to natural"."

"Finally received my hoodie today. The lichen color is gorgeous. Now I want the dawn blue. I’m 5’4 and surprisingly the length is really good. I was worried it would be too long but it’s perfect on me. I LOVE the thumbholes. I can’t yet attest to its warmth as it is summer here, but it is a chilly evening right now and it’s keeping me comfortable over a tee. The lichen is the green color I’ve been looking for for a long time. So glad to have my favorite green color! My only issue is the shipping. For some reason things take forever to get to me. It was 14 days from ordering to receiving."

"I like the pockets in this piece. What isn’t mentioned in the description, is that there are also two deep inner pockets, big enough for a kindle! I usually buy a M but got the large so it will go over more layers. Love the new bittersweet colour. Rich dark reddish brown. A good travel pant in that colour would be awesome!"
