De Shell+™ jas met capuchon is een ultraveelzijdige, zeer weerbestendige jas van 100% zuivere merinowol. De jas heeft een stevige PFC-vrije waterafstotende afwerking die je warm en droog houdt bij verschillende weersomstandigheden.

Merino is superlicht, zacht, jeukt niet, is niet zweterig, houdt je warm als het koud is, verkoelt in de hitte en heeft de wonderbaarlijke eigenschap dat het geen geuren vasthoudt. En dit komt doordat het gemaakt is in de bergen, in plaats van in een petrochemisch laboratorium. Merinowollen vezels zijn van nature duurzaam, recyclebaar en biologisch afbreekbaar.

needs a little more fabric across the back

"Initially I was going to return this jacket because when you reach forward the fabric pulls tight across your back. It's really too bad, it probably only needs about an inch more in the back to allow for full range of motion. Less important, I don't like the look of the chest vents and don't think they'll be useful - I would have preferred no vents or vents under the armpits. But I kept it because I absolutely love the bright orange color (highly visible and gender neutral) and I'm hopeful the material will be more breathable and comfortable than synthetics. The length in the back is perfect, the pockets are large and the coat looks and feels well made and durable. Hopefully it gets modified to make it even better."

so close. . .

"Love the sustainable material, colour, the collar height, the look but. . . it is too tight cross the back/under arms when arms are outstretched. When I compare to my (old, old) NorthFace ski jacket the shoulder to armpit depth needs to be deeper/longer on the Icebreaker shell. I really, really did not want to return, I love it! But it is a fraction too uncomfortable + very expensive (but happy to invest in Icebreaker clothing). . . After this mental conflict, I did return. Icebreaker, please please revamp."

"first impression is good. I'm 171cm, x shape and fairly athletic, a true IB size medium. the jacket fits loosely and is on the larger side. would love it even more, if it was a bit more close fitting. there is plenty of space for layering and the length of the sleeves is superb. let's see, if it can keep up with us!"
