"Can hardly tell the difference between these and shorts mate with a bunch of plastics while running. They fit well, absorb sweat well, and don’t feel rough against my skin on shorter 3+ mile runs. Can’t speak for how they feel on a long distance run."

As a heavy sweater who

"As a heavy sweater who runs 40 to 60 miles a week, I was skeptical that natural fiber running shorts could perform as I need them to, but wanted to give them a try since I have a lot of other Icebreaker gear that I love. I am impressed! The fact that I can wear them multiple times before washing is a game changer. I have not yet tried these in a longer, harder effort, but feel that they would still justify the high price even if they remain my "easy day" shorts. They fit true to size and the length is ideal for a regular run (I would go shorter for a race or a hard workout). I wish the pocket had some form of closure like a zipper, but have kept a credit card or a key in there without incident. I don't think there's really another company making a product like this and I'm glad it exists! Love to avoid bringing a little more plastic into the world."

Favorite shorts for running

"Best shorts I've ever had and I've tried many pairs, I use them for long distance trail running . They don't shed moisture quite as fast or well as nylon/polyester, but that's a price I'll pay to avoid plastic shorts. Also, the pocket is too loose to be much use, this material is just has too much give/sag for a pocket like that. But these are still my go to shorts. Obviously you must launder them as you would wool if you want to maximize their life/durability."
